雅思口语P2 Describe an important event that you celebrated(文字版）

I have celebrated many events just like everybody obviously, but the one that really marked me and that I would like to talk about is the party that was organized for my 12th birthday. It was so long ago, but I clearly remember it because of the special treatment that I received that day. As soon as I woke up my parents were standing in front of my bed with wide smiles, and a small piece of cake. I guess they were trying to make it look like they wanted to do something simple, and I was kind of disappointed. Then I went to school and when it was time to go home, my father picked me up, but he didn’t take the usual way back home. I was skeptical but didn’t say a word. Instead, he took me to a small amusement park in my town, and all my friends were already there waiting for me with my mother. I was so excited about it, that I started crying. It was the best day ever, because I ate a very good cake, spent some quality time with my friends, and I felt amazing to know that all this was just for me. My mother bought a special camera for the occasion and we took hundreds of pictures. Even today when I feel nostalgic, I take my phone out and look at those photos again.
