雅思口语P2 Describe a time that you were shopping in a street market(文字版）

The street market that I visited was about like 1 mile away from my home. I didn’t know it then but in fact it’s a really ancient market place. It was always crowded thanks to its wonderful position near the train station and bus stop. There were many restaurants nearby. I actually arrived early on that day in order to cover the whole market. I was walking all the afternoon, although some were riding bicycles because the market was like really huge. The main items that I saw were like food related, different fruits, vegetables and so on. And the flower stores were beautifully decorated to attract the attention of customers to buy their goods or products. I have been there for many times, so I already knew who the best sellers were and who gave the best prices for good quality. I also learned to haggle, which doesn’t happen so much anymore nowadays. I must say, I’ve already enjoyed doing it because I could even make friends with them and they would always recognize me and give me good bargains. For the most part, I went close shopping, I haven’t done such for a long time. I bought several t-shirts for all colors and also some pairs of shoes. It was like a very happy moment for me because there is nothing better than being in a place where you can get almost whatever you want at rather low prices. My hands were full when I went back home and it was like very impressive.
