However, they suggested that the region should diversify its sources of demand and focus on short-distance trips to attract more international travelers. Another important topic they discussed was the increasing importance of ESG factors in the hotel industry. Borivoj noted that investors are realizing the value of investing in ESG properties and regulations are coming into place to require owners and operators to deploy capital towards ESG initiatives.
