Sherri took over a decade to write her debut novel, primarily because life intervened.  With a spouse and three daughters, something always needed to give and that thing was often her book.  Hear how being a finalist in the 2015 Rising Star contest through WFWA helped her hone her manuscript through feedback from agents, urging her to change the novel's structure from a chronological one to one that utilized flashbacks to tell the dual-timeline story.  Her controversial ending scared off several agents but appealed to her eventual publisher, Red Adept. Sherri Leimkuhler has written professionally for more than twenty years but is a Jill of many trades, with experience in sales, marketing, aviation, and yoga instruction. Her health-and-fitness column, “For the Fun of Fit,” appeared bi-weekly in the Carroll County Times for nearly a decade. A competitive triathlete and two-time Ironman finisher, Sherri also enjoys reading, hiking, paddle boarding, trail running, traveling, and wine tasting. Sherri lives in Maryland with her husband, three daughters, and two Labrador retrievers.  To learn more about Sherri, click here.
