We're back after our mini-break to MCM London Comic Con last week, and we are full of tv news, tv premiere date info... and cold in the case of co-host Bex... We do, however, have a fantastic interview with Amber Rose Revah, a lead actress from one of this year's most anticipated new shows - 'The Punisher'.Amber started her on-screen career in 'I Can't Think Straight', which has since become a worldwide cult LGBT movie. She made her TV debut on BBC/HBO Emmy-nominated 'House OF Saddam' in 2008 before performing alongside John Travolta and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers in Luc Besson's 'From Paris With Love' in 2010. Since then she's played the lead role of Vidya Kahn in the BBC’s four-part mystery drama 'What Remains', Mary Magdalene in History Channel's 'The Bible', and had guest lead roles in 'Silent Witness', 'Foyle’s War', and 'Midsummer Murders'. Most recently you may have seen her as Leena Prasad in Channel 4's huge hit drama 'Indian Summers' and as Miranda in NBC's 'Emerald City'.She now takes on the leading female role of Dinah Madani, an Iranian-American Homeland Security agent pursuing Jon Bernthal's 'The Punisher' in the Marvel/Netflix series. In the interview, we discuss working on the show, learning about stunt work and fight training, and getting her own shotgun prop! Also On This Week's Show:A very ill Bex Trista (TristaBytes) returns the show, so we chat about MCM London Comic Con, plus the tv shows and films we've been watching (or not watching in Bex's case), including 'Red Dwarf', 'Stranger Things 2', 'Spiderman: Homecoming' and 'Marvel’s Inhumans'.We take a look at all the latest tv & film news, including the ‘Lord of the Rings’ TV series, the new version of '24', Nathan Fillion's new show, and the reboot of ‘The Twilight Zone’.We give you our recommendations for upcoming TV in the next 7 days.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/geektown.
