Venmo me @ganglandwire Click here to “buy me a cup of coffee” Rick Porrello discusses Cleveland’s infamous Jewish mobster, Shonder Birns. Besides Bombs, Bullets, & Bribes: The True Story of Shonder Birns, Rick Porrello wrote and produced the movie about the life and death of Danny Greene in Kill the Irishman. Birns was a prohibition-era mobster that remained out of the Mafia’s control because he focused on running the Policy game and partnered with African-Americans. Birns had to lean on the soon-to-be-famous boxing promoter Don King in one interesting story about his policy business. Rick tells story after story about how Shonder Birns partnered with Danny Greene and even left him in charge of his policy business and his wife when he went to prison. In the end, it was suspected that Danny Greene was responsible for the bomb that tended the colorful life of Shonder Birns. Rick Porrello also wrote Superthief: A Master Burglar, the Mafia, and the Biggest Bank Heist in U.S. History Venmo me @ganglandwire Click here to “buy me a cup of coffee” To go to the store or make a donation or rent Ballot Theft: Burglary, Murder, Coverup click here To rent Brothers against Brothers, the documentary, click here.
