Detainment is a short film based on the transcripts of the interviews of John Venables and Robert Thompson after the tragic murder of toddler James Bulger in 1993. He is a graduate of the National Film School of Ireland and has worked with a wide range of companies and broadcasters. He is a double winner of the Young Director Award at the Cannes Lions and has won awards at several International film festivals including the Krakow Film Festival, the Odense International Film Festival, the Woods Hole International Film Festival and a Rising Star Award from Irish Screen America.
