Gerry Nelson is an award winning Irish documentary filmmaker. Gerry switched to directing following ten years as a highly regarded, award winning, editor. With his first film, the acclaimed study of Lourdes, 'Faith, Hope and Plastic' Gerry quickly gained a reputation for creating imaginative and thoughtful programmes. Now with three decades of experience in television Gerry's work continues to impress. As a writer, director and photographer he is a total filmmaker. Most recently his Documentary series "The Game" Charting the history of our national sport of Hurling.
