#22 | Crossing Disciplines in an Uncertain World

Phoebe and Jade speak with Professor Rich Pancost, a geochemist, head of Bristol's School of Earth Sciences, and former Director of the interdisciplinary Cabot Institute for the Environment, which explores how we depend on and shape our planet. We talk about the Cabot's value for bringing diverse experts together, some of the key science and statistics of environmental change, and how we should think of the climate issue as a social and ethical one, demanding profound adaptation beyond what can be captured in simple targets. [Note: we unfortunately get some rather dodgy audio in the last 10 minutes of the episode. Please bear with us as there's some great content in there!] To find out more about the Cabot Institute, head to http://www.bristol.ac.uk/cabot/. ---- Engenius is produced by a team of engineering students at the University of Bristol.
