Today we're going to analyse yesterday's story. We will review the structure and see how it compares to the structures we discussed last week. We will also review some of the vocabulary I used while telling the story. You'll hear some common phrases such as: I want to get it off my chest It has served me well It starts to dawn on me She wanted to make me jump through hoops for security So that's off the table Have a great weekend! Episode 86 Additional Vocabulary Chronologically - in order of time That opens a realm of possibility - an area of possibility the sheer number of them - we often use 'sheer' when we want to emphasise something, it is most commonly used with volume or number to mean a big number or volume I'd been onto them - phrasal verb - been onto - I have already been in touch with them, could be by phone or message or email, even face-to-face. We often use this when we're talking about contacting a second or third time. 'I'll have to get onto them again' or 'I've been onto them three times already!'
