This is one of two episodes that I will post about Social Media Sources. I decided the original recording was too long so I've split it into two. Today we are discussing finding sources for your English practise on social media outlets such as Instagram and TikTok. Tomorrow I will give you a list of some Instagram content creators that I think are fun and enjoyable and pretty easy for you to follow. Remember, if you want to get your English from social media it's important to choose creators that you enjoy, who are talking about things that interest you or that you find fun. This way you will be more likely to pause and listen each time they come across your feed. In this episode I mention three podcasts. In fact I don't suggest you listen to these podcasts. The podcasts themselves are usually about 50 minutes long, so they would be quite challenging to listen to. However, most podcasters upload short clips from their podcast onto Instagram. These clips are usually less than 2 minutes long. This gives you a chance to listen to conversational English in short bursts that can be interesting and great listening practise. The three podcasts I mentioned today were Tom Daley's Made with Love, Man Enough and Glennon Doyle's We Can Do Hard Things. The first two have their own Instagram Accounts, for We Can Do Hard Things follow Glennon Doyle's Instagram. Don't forget to check in again tomorrow for part two of this episode!
