Thank you for joining us for Don’t Know Her?. To mark the upcoming Emmy awards, we’re doing a miniseries on performers who have garnered a lot of attention for their TV roles yet somehow feel underappreciated when it comes to their big screen work. And we are kicking this off with the marvellous Jeffrey Wright. In the world of TV, Jeffrey is perhaps best known for his Emmy Winning turn in Mike Nichols’ Angels In America (2003), an adaptation of Tony Kushner’s celebrated stage play. He will also be known to many for his work on Westworld (2016-present) and Boardwalk Empire (2010-2014). In film, Jeffrey will be known to many for his supporting roles in the recent James Bond films, The Hunger Games series and The Batman (Matt Reeves, 2022). He has also been celebrated for his work in Basquiat (Julian Schnabel, 1996), Broken Flowers (Jim Jarmusch, 2005), and The French Dispatch (Wes Anderson, 2021). We discuss these roles, dream about his future roles and take a quiz - all to celebrate this wonderful actor. Please join us, enjoy this episode and follow us on social media to stay updated!
