This Is What Humble Badassery Looks Like: feat. BARNANA Co-Founder Nik Ingersöll
Categories:
Nik Ingersöll is the Co-Founder & CMO of Barnana, a ForbesUnder30 Honoree, and Award-winning Designer.
As I sit here and listen to the recording of Nik and I rapping about the food industry, I don’t even know where to start in writing an intro to him. I am laughing as I listen- and I think you will too. He is just so, so fun, and he will inspire you to KEEP GOING no matter what happens in your business.
Nik started working on his venture, Barnana, while sitting in his boring college lectures in 2011, and then officially launched the company in 2013. Barnana uses ‘upcycled’ bananas, with a mission to reduce food waste by using bananas that aren’t ‘good enough’ for retail. They then turn these into their delicious snacks.
Nik had just survived a pretty bad motorcycle accident, which is kinda perfect considering his main message in the episode is to not let anything stop you from continuing your pursuits, and to ruthlessly follow your happiness.
He comes from nothing, and yet has made it very clear that he is here to play big & live to the fullest, not letting anything stop him- even the failures, the falls….and yes, the douchebags along the way.
