Charles Wojcik

In this special-edition episode Mike and Oteil sit down with former United States Marine, Charles Wojcik, to commemorate Veterans Day and talk about his experience in the military. In this conversation you’ll hear Charles, Oteil, and Mike discuss Charles joining the Marine Corps at 17 (with his father present to grant him legal permission), his two combat deployments to Afghanistan and how he mentally processed them both while he was deployed and once he returned home, and working with Jon Stewart. You’ll also hear Charles talk about politics and mental health conversations within military communities, the Wounded Warrior Project and other ways to help veterans in need, and much more. Charles Wojcik is a former member of the United States Marine Corps, and currently works as a Production Assistant for the Apple TV+ podcast series The Problem with Jon Stewart. Prior to working in television, Charles served as an Intelligence Specialist in the United States Marine Corps, and he has completed two combat deployments in Afghanistan.
