55: Richard Butler and Daniel Nurse – Creating opportunity: how to go far
“It is inspiring to know that there are people who believe in changing the dynamic and who believe in you as an individual.” Joining Michael today are two people with a powerful perspective of education's role in creating change. Richard Butler was part of the inaugural cohort of Amos Bursary students in 2009 and more than 10 years on, he is thriving in a roll with Allianz Global Investors. Of the bursary he’s said: “I knew it could get me somewhere. I didn’t know how far it could take me.” Alongside him is Daniel Nurse, the man who mentored him through his Amos Bursary journey, who has become a lifelong friend, and remains an adviser and student development specialist with the charity today.
