In this Podcast Episode Rebecca of @becca.is.love discussed the Third Limb of Yoga: Asana. The Third Limb of the Eight Limbs of Yoga looks at the idea of Sthira and Sukham: that which is steady and that which is comfortable. Asana is an embodiment of sthira and sukham, and Rebecca discusses that you should bring this to your physical practice on the mat. Patanjali describes asana as a pose in which you are steady, and comfortable - thus this idea forms the basis of the physical asana practice. Asana is the only physical practice discussed in the Eight Limbs of Yoga, and even so it is to prepare the body and mind for meditation, or communion with the divine. Thus, Asana is an important part of the Eight Limbs of Yoga. Find Rebecca on her website @becca-is-love.com or follow her on instagram: @becca.is.love
