How to Judge Creative Work (Without Killing it)

Cat Rose Astrology - A podcast by Cat Rose

We need to discern what works from what doesn’t, what we’re going for and whether or not what we’ve done hits the mark. It’s built into our genetic code or something. We are discriminating creatures, all living beings are - and when we fail, it can mean the difference between life and death. Naturally it’s a big deal to us. But "bad" judgement is *really* bad. Judging whether a line you put down is right or wrong is what makes art better. It makes us better. It’s what gets us closer to the mark, the ideal. But the fear that creeps up before we’ve even put down the mark, for fear it might be wrong, that’s the kind of judgement that kills our creativity. That's what I'm going to be tackling in today's episode of The Creative Introvert. I hope you enjoy it!
