Wong Kar-wai

With a shiny new Criterion Box Set getting released and on the heels of the “theatrical” runs of some new restorations, we look at Wong Kar-Wai’s film festival run and his work more generally. We have already talked HAPPY TOGETHER, so we focus in mostly on CHUNGKING EXPRESS, IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE, and 2046, with some brief FALLEN ANGELS talk and some references to his earlier movies as well.
