This week on Black on Black Cinema, the crew returns to discuss the 1991 film, "The People Under The Stairs," which is written and directed by Wes Craven. The film follows a young kid nicknamed "Fool," who gets pulled into working with two house burglars to rob the house of the landlords who own most of the crumbling homes in their neighborhood. Once inside the house, Fool discovers the landlords' bizarre secrets. The horror-comedy works to use its story as a way to deal with gentrification, race, capitalism, etc. Does it succeed in doing so?
