The New Black & Preview to Episode 71

This week on Black on Black Cinema the next film is introduced. The 2015 coming of age story, Dope. Directed by Rick Famuyiwa and starring Shameik Moore. Dope tells the story of a young kid in his last days of high school while he and his friends get caught up into drug dealing. All the while challenging the stereotypes of their environment. The random topic for this week is the movement in the Black community called “New Black.”
