LANCC Anti Road Diet Presentation

The LA Neighborhood Council Coalition invited the anti-road diet group Keep LA Moving to present on 'traffic safety.' KLAM moved that the LANCC "demand to start the process to remove all traffic calming measures" from LA streets. Articulate, powerful, and nearly unanimous opposition to the motion followed, with many speakers asking why the LANCC invited an anti- traffic safety advocacy group to present without balance from other groups or traffic safety experts. The motion was tabled until 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 5, 2019. Jesi Durite of the LA County Bike Coalition will present, along with others, at LA DWP Headquarters.
