The Rock promised to shift the balance of power in the DCEU with Black Adam. This was his passion project, the character he has been trying to play for over a decade. The question is, did he accomplish his goal? I personally knew very little about Black Adam besides the fact that he was somehow tied to Shazam, and I knew that I enjoyed Shazam. I hoped that I would enjoy this movie just as much. Admittedly, as a person who doesn't watch trailers I had no idea what I was in for with this movie so all but the opening action scenes were new for me. In these 30 minutes, I'll tell you how I felt.
