What National seems to not understand is that Christopher Luxon doesn't seem to be able to read the room as to what to say publicly and how it will be perceived. I think most people understand this stupid comment is a "joke" but what Luxon seems to not understand is that his opposition are looking for ways to paint him in a certain light, and with his "abortion is tantamount to murder" comments and the reversal of the $5 prescription fee leading to women having to pay for their prescription under National makes these kinds of "joke' politically toxic. If a leader can't read the room, what dangers could that mean for NZ if they are working internationally and have a need to read the room when it comes to international relationships etc...
