Transport Minister Michael Wood has been stood down over his failure to immediately declare shares in Auckland Airport. In a statement released just after 1.20pm today, Prime Minister Chris Hipkins said he had spoken with Wood and advised him of his decision, saying it was "while any remaining issues around his conflicts are appropriately resolved". A sweeping review into the country's electoral system is recommending the voting age be lowered to 16, a 3.5 per cent party threshold, and a public referendum on a longer Parliamentary term.
