#BHN National donors make it rain | Commercial radio weirdly anti the RNZ/TVNZ merger | National kinda pissy about EV sales
#BHN Big Hairy News - A podcast by Blindfish Media
The National party has been inundated like no party ever has before in NZ with a huge war chest to attempt to unseat Labour as the Government. National raised more in one year from large donors than Labour raised in nearly a decade. What does this mean for #Election2023? The NZ Herald gave space to a radio lobby to share column inches as to why the RNZ/TVNZ merger is a bad idea and how her clients would be much better at getting more money for NZ content, than driving it into a public entity. Can anyone else see the conflict of interest here? The National Party is pretty upset that EV sales are looking so good in 2022 making claims that the poor farmers would feel the brunt or maybe the rebate would need to drop in value...missing the whole time that the inconvenient truth is NZers have grabbed this Government initiative and run (or driven) with it. National does it's best to say how terrible this all is, but it kind of feels like trying to explain to a rugby fan the perils of winning the Rugby World Cup
