#BHN Luxon's job interview | Aotearoa name change petition | Robertson lowers the boom

#BHN Big Hairy News - A podcast by Blindfish Media

Christopher Luxon has spent some camera time in the McDonalds where he had his first job, this stunt is meant to be to demonstrate the importance of young people having a job and the meaning that comes with that job, critics are saying it demonstrates again how out of touch Luxon is as National's tax cuts and financial promises are going to hit these low earners harder than any sector.   The Māori Party's petition to make Aotearoa the official name of NZ has been accepted by Select Committee and now goes through the process of seeing if it can go to parliament for a vote. Māori Party co-leader, Debbie Ngawera-Packer joins us to talk about where the process is at, where to from here, and some background as to why the name change is important to Māori.   The National Party challenged Grant Robertson to "stand by all his governments statements and actions" to which Grant Robertson lowered the boom and spent minutes listing the achievements of the Labour Party since becoming Government. If you've never understood the saying "hoisted by your own petard" tonight, you'll see a real time example of this as National set's up Labour to allow them to brag about their wins over the last 5 years.
