#BHN Luxon defends Nelson meeting | New Labour tax policy | Latest Taxpayers Union polls

Christopher Luxon has done the morning television circuit attempting to defend the comments made, and responses given, in his Nelson meeting. One of the main criticisms is that he is very able to answer questions quickly, clearly and effectively painting his position when talking to the media...but when talking to people whom he wants to vote for his party he pauses and picks his words much more carfully...almost seeming to need to pander to them to make sure he doesn't put them offside Labour has announced new tax policies today of no CGT and no Wealth Tax and this might be an area where we agree with National as it seems desperate and pathetic especially when so many voters agree with these taxes and would support having them come into our economy. This seems to be a vote grab and an attempt to stop National using 'tax' as a battering ram rather than a well thought out political move by the left. Latest Taxpayers Union poll is much of a muchness but how some in the media are reporting it makes for interesting reading.
