Growing up in the Bronx, Saquon Barkley dreamed of playing for the New York Jets. After dreaming of playing in the NFL from the age of 3, Barkley had become so frustrated about not playing as much as he wanted to with his youth football team that he told his father he’d had enough. At 13 or 14 and nearly quit. His dad has his own interesting story about missing out on making it as a pro boxer and falling into a life of drugs that he wouldn't let his kid make the same mistakes as him. I love this story because Saquon is a true underdog who came from very little. Now, he plans on being the best Running Back to ever play the game!
