Before Lil Durk would drop a lyric in that very song suggesting that he don’t play with “rats” like Tekashi 6ix9ine. Before Lil Durk would release a track titled “Turn Me hyb In” and then do that very thing, surrendering himself to police the very next day. American-born rapper, Lil Durk began to catch fire in the early 2010s when he was still only a teenager by combining pop sensibilities with a raw lyrical style that would help set the table for the Chicago rap scene of the last decade. At that time, Lil Durk was at a crossroads in his life. Down one path was earning a living by working the streets, down the other was a life as a basketball player. Unfortunately for him -- for a little while at least -- he chose that first path.
