Donovan Mitchell has taken the NBA by storm generating a huge amount of buzz as a strong contender for Rookie Of The Year Honours. Interestingly enough, basketball wasn't Donovan's first career choice. Growing up in a baseball family he had his sights set on making it into the MLB and was a standout pitcher and shortstop. Then an on field collision in 2013 would cost him a season of baseball and have him switching up his game plan to make it into the NBA. When he got there he decided to adopt the number 45 as a tip of the hat to Michael Jordan and his love of Baseball due to the fact that MJ was #45 when he was running bases.
