He first started rapping in the sixth grade, and his interest in poetry dates back even further. At first glance, Denzel Curry looks like he came from a pretty stable background. He's a high school graduate with protective parents but in his native Carol City, he lived through some pretty hard times. He lost many a friend and even his own brother who died after being tasered by the police.
