Blueface | Before They Were Famous | Biography Football to Rap Star | Jonathan Porter

Before They Were Famous - A podcast by Michael McCrudden

Blueface has only been rapping for a year, but in that short time, he has become one of the most polarizing figures in rap, with his offbeat flow, eccentric personality, and of course, the tattoo he has on his face of Benjamin Franklin, who is on the 100 dollar bill, which is a blue bill, therefore he has a Blueface on his face. Blueface is a west coast rapper who grew up involved in street life. He received a football scholarship to head to North Carolina but after becoming depressed, he soon moved back home. After working a few minimum wage jobs, through a moment of fate, he found himself in a studio, and after he heard back his first recording, the rest is history. But just to be clear, he says he is not a rapper, he is a choir orchestrator.
