Blocboy JB was born James Baker on May 19, 1996, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was named after his father, who is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence. When BlocBoy was only 12 years old, his dad broke out of prison just to spend time with his kids. Apparently, he pulled up to their house in a blue Jaguar to see a young James. But unfortunately, like most prison-breaks, well, unless your last name is Scofield, it eventually came to an end. Authorities found Baker Sr, and he was locked up again. Blocboy comes from a large family and is the third youngest of seven siblings. He says it wasn’t that hard to live with a lot of siblings, but they did have to get used to eating the same thing most nights:
