24 – Let’s Go Retro

We launch the AFCB Retro Shirt Poll, as the club want to know which old-school shirt you want to see in the club shop, we dissect Cherries 2-0 loss at Boro, name a list of Top Ten cr*p strikers, & preview Sunderland’s visit to the Vitality on Saturday. In our main feature, Sean chats to Cherries programme writer & self confessed kit nerd Gareth Davies, as we launch the Back of the Net Retro Shirt Poll – where you can help decide the next old school Cherries shirt that could be making its way into the AFC Bournemouth Superstore. The club want to know what we the fans think, so we’ll bring you the 10 shirts to be considered but it’s up to you! To start off the show, Rob Frank goes outside the norm of ‘Do You Remember?’ as he names a list of AFCB strikers, some of whom, he “didn’t particularly rate” (that’s being generous) – how many names can you remember from his list of ten cr*p strikers? (and don’t worry Alex Deetch Deutzh Deutsch, we beep out the bad word) As usual, Michael returns with his insight into the latest Cherries game, as he goes “thorough on the Boro”, with his review of this weekend’s match at the Riverside. Then, we’ll hear your fan thoughts and the media reaction to our miserable 2-0 loss in the Far North East. Sean and Sam go on to have their say abut the defeat, before Sean limbers up and goes for the jugular with a rather bold statement on Harry Arter and his international career in Club News (with info from his moles…) The match on Saturday provided a rather interesting talking point. Whilst the initial frustration was vented online about the performance of our boys in the blue, the finger subsequently turned towards referee Stuart Attwell – should we have been awarded a penalty after Valdes kung fu kicked King? The lads provide their opinions. Plus, we’ll be previewing Bournemouth’s next home game, where on Saturday we face David Moyes’s Sunderland.
