Cable Synergy Real Thing or Snake Oil?
We often hear from exotic cable companies of a synergy between audio cables and the gear they attach to. Is there any truth to it or is it just more snake oil? Are cables really meant to act as tone controls or should they be transparent? I discuss why "cable synergy" if true, is NOT a good thing to inspire for in a cable design and why if a company touts it, you should walk not run from them.
