Megafloods on Mars - Dr. Ezat Heydari - Astronomy News with The Cosmic Companion Dec. 1, 2020

The Cosmic Companion - Astronomy, Space, Technology Advancing Humanity - A podcast by Exploring the wonders of the Cosmos, one mystery at a time

This week, we welcome Dr. Ezat Heydari to the show. He is a professor of  geoscience at Jackson State University. We will discuss his work  showing evidence of a possible megaflood on Mars in the ancient solar  system.  But, first, we examine fusion processes at the core of our Sun, using a  detector buried deep underground. We also take a look at a sunspot that  became visible from Earth on Thanksgiving, and learn how astronomers saw  it when it was still on the other side of the Sun. Finally, we will  take our first - but by no means last - look at a great conjunction of  planets coming soon to a sky near you.--- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/the-cosmic-companion/messageSupport this podcast: https://anchor.fm/the-cosmic-companion/support This is a public episode.
