Jim Lovell is piloting the LM’s mid-course correction. “That’s me around,” says Lovell. “A little more,” says Haise. “Come on, baby.” “Come on. That’s it,” says Lovell. “Hold it. Damn it!” Swigert is counting the final ten seconds of the burn. “5, 6, 7…” “Back, back!” says Lovell. “That’s it. Hold it. Steady.” “8…” says Swigert. “Steady,” says Lovell. “9,” continues Swigert. “Shut down!…,” says Lovell. “Houston, we have shutdown.” “That’s close enough, Jim,” says CAPCOM. “Good work.” “I knew it!” shouts the Grumman Rep, smiling. “I knew it! How ’bout that LM, huh?
