#74 - Former Killie Player And PE Teacher George Maxwell

This week we are joined by Scottish former footballer, George Maxwell, who combined his work as a PE teacher with playing for Kilmarnock FC. George Maxwell had one of his school pupils, Gordon Smith as a team mate during his early days and then later coached Kris Boyd. Not only is he the highest scoring defender in the club’s history, he was also crowned the “Man with the hardest shot in Scotland”. George is on today to talk to us about his career in education and football. We ask George about the greatest challenges he faced and how he overcame them. We also touch on the best coaches he played under and why he felt this was the case. This episode offers lot of excellent take away messages that can be taken into your teaching practice and indeed, your life.
