Interview with Mark Herzlich – Irish Sports Saturday
In 2009, Mark Herzlich was a Boston College football star when suddenly he was diagnosed with cancer. He found an unexpected friend in his fight. A Notre Dame loving nun from Indiana starting writing to Mark. The two struck a friendship and Mark grew in his faith and says the power of prayer was a big reason he beat cancer. Sister Barbara Anne Hallman of the St. Francis Sisters of Perpetual Adoration in Mishawaka passed away last February. In her final days, she requested one more phone call with her 'football guy.'
