Once you know that the way you feel and the things you do are being created by your thoughts, being able to manage those thoughts becomes a priority. But acquiring the skills to question and change your thoughts is just like any other skill—it takes practice. And, just like swimming or playing the piano or cooking, when we’re trying to practice any new skill, the better the practice is and the more specific and targeted the rehearsals are, the faster our overall proficiency improves.  In today’s episode of the podcast, I’m giving you some very specific drills that you can use to improve your ability to change your thoughts and manage your brain. I break down the process of changing your thoughts into bite-sized pieces so you can bring your attention to the parts that need more practice. These small, defined exercises will help you isolate and improve specific elements of your thought work so you can get better at changing your mind and improve your mental fitness.   To help you do this work, you can also download a pdf of all the drills here.
